Poop Bark

I have been playing around with Cubase 5.1 lately. That program is simply amazing, but it has a very high learning curve. Dare may I say the highest of all programs of it's kind.

Using their stock drum machine, amp simulator, and synths I was able to poop out this little ditty right here.

Weird Stuff

Here's a weird song that I came up very quickly in class. Dana Parker came in to substitute teach for my regular teacher. He always gets me in the mood to want to create.

This song I made very simply in Digital Performer on a Mac. Then I took it home and did a little mastering, which honestly I am still getting the hang of.

The idea of this was to create a loop that could be used to a hypothetical video game. Much like something out of Street Fighter.

A Touch of Aries Class Assignment

For an assignment the teacher had us score and add sound effects to a scene. It was a pretty fun assignment.

I used various DAWs to get this up and running, not to mention multiple synths. Ninety-nine percent of the sound is synthetic.

Maybe I can catch a break and do something like this for a living.

Butterbean Theme Candidate One

It's a new summer semester which means another Electronic Music course. For this assignment our teacher has us making an entrance theme for the fighter Butterbean. He did the real theme that is used, but he has us doing this as an assignment.

We are going to learn Digital Performer. Therefore this song was done on Digital Performer using their EQ plugins and Wave's reverbs. All of this was done with soft synths such as Kontakt, Garritan Instruments for Finale, and IK Multimedia Philharmonic.

A couple of Romantic Cues I did for the class. The first one passed the assignment, the second one did not.

Naming Scheme

When I'm just fucking around I tend to name things after excrement or something silly like butts (Butt Blast).

Black Kryptonite was originally "Black Poop." Also, I have a song called "Goth Shite."

It's silly, but it works when I'm just messing around musically without any other content for the songs.
