I have been playing around with Cubase 5.1 lately. That program is simply amazing, but it has a very high learning curve. Dare may I say the highest of all programs of it's kind.
Using their stock drum machine, amp simulator, and synths I was able to poop out this little ditty right here.

That's right Cubase is the best! It is the biggest shiniest pearl in the seaweed growth of DAWs.
